I live in thane.. which class should i prefer for iit jee ...i want to be an IITian..many classes have nice adversting.. bt which class hav the best faculty i really dnt no.. plz help.. plz.. i need right guidance.. or should i go for privates.?

Coaching matters less... Wat matters is how much u study on your own. And how much you practise. I don't know much about city bombay but Pace I have heard is gud. So u can rely on them. But Wat would be required is how much efforts you put in not the institute puts in. So keep the hardwork on and ripe in great results.....

Firstly 95% of how you prepare matters and 5% is all that coaching does but still, it is important that you have guidance. Now, since you ask, my first suggestion would be for you to choose IITian's Pace. I hear they have really good faculty and they conduct lots of tests. On the other hand, vidyalankar have a really strict selection and I know three of my friends who went their and they got AIRS within 500. I myself studied at ARC Career Launcher. If you want the perfect coaching with all those tests and Pace having so many students will help you determine how good you are then choose Pace but Vidyalankar has really good success rate and if you have the confidence, go with Vidyalankar. If I was given another choice, I would go with Vidyalankar. Sorry for making it so long. But i really hope I helped you make a decision.

I feel you should go for Pace Academy from what i have heard from my friends . Other than that , it all depends on your hardwork and practice to crack jee and score high. No doubt a constantly motivating faculty plays  key role in guiding you but even you should have the feeling inside you . Speaking about privates, wont help much. So, make a call and select an institute with which you feel confident to prepare for the next two years. All the best !!

Whichever classes you do attend, it depends heavily on your area. Why do I say that? Because no matter how good the reputation of a place is the individual faculty varies. And any place is only as good as its teachers. So ask your peers and seniors who go to these places if the faculty is a go then fine. And where ever you do join its only useful if you maintain notes. Else it's just gonna be a waste of your money dear.

Quality of coaching institutes differs from place to place. So i can't really say which one to choose among them. But surely don't go on their advertisements. You should get in touch with a few seniors who have studied in those institutes and ask them for suggestions. You can also visit those institutes and talk to some of the students studying there to get a better insight. This might be really helpful. Also ask search about their study materials. They also play a major role in selection. Favor institutes with lesser batch size as teachers would be able to focus more on individuals and hence will be able to keep an close eye on you and your works. If you get to know about a few good ones and is confused then choose the one which is convenient to reach as it will save some time and you will be less tired so will be able to give more time for self studies. As self studies is very very important. The more you practise the better you get. That's all i can suggest.........ATB....... :)

Well,before saying anything I would like to add that apart from coachings what matters is your self study. If you are'nt doing self study then you can't analyse. Moreover, if it is a good coaching but you can't manage your schedule according to it then it will pressurize you which again will affect ypur performance. As I also went to one of those coachings as mentioned above but could'nt make it to the counsilling for IIT, I first looked for where I can manage time for myself. There should be balance between coaching timings and self studying. It is very difficult for anyone to ve in coa. For 8-10 hours daily. So I would suggest, don't go for advertisements. Everyone promotes their brand. Consult ex-students and see what timings they have and teaching methodology. I hope this might help you. All The Best.

Sorry but I can't tell you the exact scenario of coaching classes in Mumbai as I am from Delhi and I did my coaching from there itself. But after coming to IIT one thing I have realized for sure that most of the ghati students ( Mumbaikars) have done there preparation from PACE. Many of my friends and seniors tell that the faculty is just awesome. The kind of bond that a teacher develops with a student makes it the best and apart from that, if you have any problem with any teacher or with anything it is addressed for sure. So in my opinion you should go for PACE. Rest is your hardwork that will play the major role in getting into an IIT. All the best for your preparations!!! Work hard!!!

Purchase good books and study hard. 5 years earlier, NCERT were the best books and i believe they still are. because of the insatiable hunger for study for JEE, you should purchase nice books like Irodov, etc. You can also go for previous years papers and solve them. Coaching centres wont help much, but you should definitely join some test series of national level. FIITJEE, Brilliant were good in my times.

Not sure about classes in thane, but I think resonance should be a good option.
