How do you search DOM elements using CSS selectors in Chrome?

If a "Chrome Frame" is installed on a computer, yet one disables Google search and uses another browser not Google related, is Google still using the default browser to store information "incognito" letting you think you are using the default?

  • If this is not true, can someone explain or give feedback as to why I witnessed someone using a Bing search engine on IE to log in to multiple owned sites, only to have Google Chrome ask "Do you want Chrome to save your password?"

  • Answer:

No. Google Chrome Frame stores and clears your personal data through the host browser (IE) cookie/cache settings. Clear IE's cache and Chrome Frame's cache is cleared. Saving and synchronization for passwords and extensions is completely independent of what search engine you use. By default, if you say that you want to save passwords in Chrome, all of that is stored locally and not sent to Google.

"using a Bing browser" ?  Such a thing does not exist as far as I know. They probably were using... IE or Firefox or Chrome ...which are the dominant browsers. They probably have set their default SEARCH ENGINE, in Chrome, to Bing - so they're still running Google's Chrome as the brower, using Bing as the search engine.
