How was your time on the Carnival Fascination?

What did you discover as a kid which captured your fascination for a long time?

• We are a very curious lot as a kid and constantly explore and learn new things. Among the conundrum and wealth of information we sometimes totter upon a discovery which keeps us fascinated for a long time. There were numerous such instances in my childhood, one that I distinctly remember is when I first discovered that you can write in Invisible Ink using lemon juice! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invisible_ink) I was pretty fascinated by this discovery and used this technique a lot to pass meaningless secret messages as a kid. I'm looking for fun and cherished memories of new found discoveries from your childhood.

  Once I was tuning a manual radio with FM/AM/SW. I discovered that I could hear my mothers conversation on the radio on a certain AM frequency (as the old cordless phone had frequency in MHz). I was fascinated by it.
