Who are the suppliers for raw material to those well branded bodybuilding supplements products companies? Simply, is there any big company behind those branded companies, behind the industry?

• Do those well known brands produce their own pure protein dower? Or they buy them and buy many other kinds of stuff like vitamins to mix up and package up? What companies are the upstream-firms of those branded fitness supplements companies? which, I think(unsure), produce the basic protein material for the branded companies like BSN , Optimum or MuscleTech to mix their own products. ( the whole process is as a imagination as well) if their are some companies like those, then who are they? And what do they do? What are the difference among them, if there are many of them. Last, Or maybe FIRST,  it shouldn't be a secret for us consumers, right? Consumers know a lot of upstream firms in many different industries, and wouldn't cause any problem.

  If you want to know how supplement companies work, you need to watch the documentary Bigger Stronger Faster. These days there are all kinds of supplements floating on the market which tell you they'll make you thinner or stronger or cure diseases. Most of those are nothing but crap. The only few supplements that work to my knowledge are whey, creatine and multi-vitamins. I don't know the suppliers to the branded companies in the supplement industry but I'd tell you this; if they sell you a supplement which is advertised to be better than whey/creatine in helping you in bodybuilding, chances are it doesn't have anything special.
