I am a CSE student from a tier 3 college (under West Bengal University of Technology). My CGPA after 2nd year is 8.04(Topper's CGPA : 9.1+). I am among the top 3 programmers in my class and I am really passionate about coding. What should I do so that I can get a really good job?

Continue with your open source contributions. Make a super strong GitHub profile. Try networking with friends from good colleges or new people through LinkedIn. Your ICSE, ISC marks are insignificant. Your CGPA also matters less and the topper's CGPA has nothing to do with this post. Practice hard, daily and be number 1 programmer in your class even if it comes at the expense of some more GPA (i dont think it will). You have 2 years (a lot), plan ahead and work accordingly, do not waste time.

Try coming out with some ideas and make some software or Web app. Alternatively you can utilize your coding skills to freelance in or . You will also get paid for it. Plus the experience thing( a crucial factor you see). By the time you pass graduate, you will have stuffs enough in your resume to be placed in some good IT companies.
