Why do companies use recruitment agencies?

I'm curious what process brand managers within companies use when sending out RFPs for their digital projects. Is it typically shared with only agencies you've worked with in the past and/or the big, well-known agencies, or is there a process for finding new vendors?

  • Answer:

Hi, Your typical brand manager would possibly with working with 1 or 2 agencies depending on the size of the organization he represents. Usually the incumbent agency would definitely be given the brief. However of late , brand managers have taken to inviting competing non-incumbent agencies to pitch for Digital jobs. I run a B2B marketplace that connects clients with agencies and have noticed that several marketing guys have chosen to put up digital briefs on our platform http://www.agencyonnet.com  as part of their effort to get a more cost effective solution. Everyone is under pressure to stretch budgets!
