As of right now in 2015 the only difference between Shazam and Shazam Encore is that the former is free and riddled with ads, whilst the latter costs $6.99 to remove the ads. iOS Instructions As of right now you can either: A) Purchase Encore in-app in the free Shazam app when you tap: -> Tap My Shazam on the bottom of the screen -> Tap the cog in the top right hand corner -> Tap "Upgrade to Encore "(Under the REMOVE ADS label) or B) Purchase Shazam Encore from the App Store for $6.99
