How can a person like Friends more than Seinfeld?

  • I have seen friends and then Seinfeld. It is a fact that Friends was copied from Seinfeld. Seinfeld relates to one's life much more realistically than Friends, even today. How can someone like Friends over Seinfeld?

    I have seen a lot of people who have seen Friends but never seen or heard of Seinfeld. On quora as well , I see a lot of people suggesting Friends as a must watch TV Series, but hardly anyone suggests Seinfeld. I think the reason for this is the difference between the timing of the shows. Seinfeld aired between 1989-1998 while Friends is relatively new , airing between 1994-2004. Till now you can see Friends being aired on some channels but I have hardly seen Seinfeld being shown on any channel. Personally, I like Seinfeld way more than Friends :)

Hi. I've seen both shows. I love friends but can't stand seinfeld. For me, it has to do with several things: - Friends' jokes are quicker; - Seinfeld characters are too dark; - Seinfeld revolves too much around Seinfeld and in Friends all the characters get a similar ammount of attention; - At least for people outside USA, Seinfeld's humor is too american, and Friends' is more universal. - I don't like Jerry Seinfeld. I don't know him in person, but the character is annoying. So that's pretty much why when I see Seinfeld is coming up I change channels. Hope it helps (;
