I want to create a chart to compare annualized returns of Straits Times Index, Hang Seng Index with HFN Asset Based Lending Index. What is the best way to find such comparisons or data sources to create one?

I also want to compare the beta of these stock indices with HFN Asset Based Lending Index.

Answer:
As a data source, you can usually tap into the historical prices of the financial information platforms. On Yahoo, that's e.g. on the left side in that small vertical navigation. See here for Straits Times Index: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=%5ESTI+Historical+Prices Then you put them into your Google Spreadsheeds or Excel table, and process the data as you like!
