How did you choose what career to pursue?

Which would you choose: a career as a flying officer in the Indian Air Force (technical field) or pursue a master's from a top 10 ranked university in the United States?

  • I completed my Engineering from a reputed university in India and have an option to join the Indian Airforce as a Technical Officer (Mechanical) or Pursue an MS from the Unites States.

    It depends on what you are seeking from your life. There are some pros and cons of joining the IAF as tech officer. See my previous answers on the topics " HOw is it like working as a Technical officer in IAF". However the flavot of the time is to become and entrepreneur and create billion dollar enterprises like Facebook, Whatsapp or Uber., for such dreams it would make sense to go to US for Masters

I would choose a career in Air force as •It offer a complete life experience. Like adventure,job satisfaction,good health, good salary,job security , stand of living in air force is very high. • one can also apply for higher education,Air force will pay for your higher education and you will get the salary too in the periods. They have special quota for defense officers in IIT's and other higher institute.
