How to integrate Salesforce with php?

How does Mailchimp integrate with Salesforce?

  • Not a technical question. I'd like to find out how Mailchimp integrates with Salesforce, e.g. if it automatically updates the subscriber list for leads and accounts, if it send all contact fields (e.g. lead source) in Mailchimp for segmentation, etc...

  • Answer:

From my research implementing some connectivity between the two, it seems as if most of the value of the sync is pulling your campaign contacts/leads from Salesforce into a MailChimp list. There may be 3rd party integrations, but I believe the first party offering ends there. There used to be an official MailChimp offering on the AppExchange that allowed you to partake in some actions from within your http://Salesforce.com org, but that has been taken down (see comments near the bottom: http://blog.mailchimp.com/mailchimp-crm-integration-with-salesforce-highrise-batchbook/) Not for the faint at heart, MailChimp also offers Webhooks (http://apidocs.mailchimp.com/webhooks/) on some of the actions, so if you are looking to track things like Sent Email tasks on the contacts of a MailChimp campaign, you can set up a Webhook to point to your http://Salesforce.com org and make some API calls to retrieve that information and create those tasks via code.

As a third party provider we bidirectionally sync data between Salesforce and MailChimp (so data in one is automatically updated in the other). As per Michael's answer the first party integration is limited. If we can help, please email us on Best regards, David http://www.cloutex.com/sync

Mailchimp can be integrated with Salesforce via third-party applications. And https://www.workato.com/ is a great example. Here are some examples of the integration already built between Mailchimp and Salesforce using https://www.workato.com/:- https://www.workato.com/recipes/22421-when-a-lead-is-created-in-salesforce-add-lead-to-a-mailing-list-in-mailchimp - https://www.workato.com/recipes/22423-when-campaign-member-is-created-in-salesforce-add-member-as-subscriber-to-mailchimphttps://www.workato.com/ is very easy to use and is designed to accommodate full customisation, so you only have to modify the integration logic and data mappings a bit to suit your own use case, and you are good to go. It is of course possible to add logical and conditional steps in your integration to make it more complex and for it to do exactly what you want.If you have any specific integration scenario in mind, our Team would love to know and help you get started. We can be easily reached via email, phone and live chat.Full disclosure: I work for Workato.

The standard functional is rather limited, so people usually use a 3rd party providers. Here is the listing of one of them at official Mailchimp site - https://connect.mailchimp.com/integrations/salesforce-integration-by-skyvia. The service is free and has powerful functional. It allows you easily set up https://skyvia.com/data-integration/integrate-salesforce-mailchimp, and schedule it for automatic execution.
