Why would people go for the chromebooks and not linux netbooks?
-
Will the consumers who have not been buying Linux based books buy the chromium books, if so, why?
-
Answer:
Chromebooks are designed to be simple: the web, on a device. Secure, simple, fast. Linux netbooks are far more functional... but more are significantly more complex, even if they are just used for browsing. Also, Chromebooks are fundamentally cloud devices, with no local storage. Hence, if/when you lose or break them, you lose nothing but the device itself. A Linux netbook is a cheap laptop...
