Can I register an LLP with an address already being used by another organization (with the organization's consent)?
-
Me and my friend are planning to start an LLP in Hyderabad, first step towards our dream. However, we are having trouble with getting an address for registration. Both of us are not from Hyderabad and cannot afford to rent a commercial space. Work-from-Home model to begin with. A not-for-profit organization, whose founder is known to us, has rented a commercial space for its operations. They are willing to let us use their address as "registered address". However, they are not willing to have a word with the original landlord of the commercial space. Will an NOC from the not-for-profit organization do? We are not going to setup any physical office at the organization's space. This is purely for the sake of getting us started/registered. Once we become viable we would rent our own commercial space. Any valuable advice and suggestions will be truly appreciated.

If you are not going to setup a physical office why do you not register the firm at your home address and use the commercial space mentioned in the question as your corporate office. As far as I know, there is no issue in sharing the address as long as you fulfill all other criteria. If you have more questions feel free to comment.

There is certainly no issue in having a non functional registered address.. Most of the small private companies in India of which only some family members are stake holders use their residential address for the purposes of registered address. I could not get your exact question in so far as NOC part is concerned. Please clarify on it. However if at all you meant that the NGO is itself a tenant on the commercial premises and you want to use that premises, then there is an issue. It is not always the case that the original owner would allow any sub lease of the premises for any use.

my concerns are that I can't use my parent's address (Kerala) owing to dissensions, and both of us stay in hostels. Where are business communications from the government sent to - registered address or corporate office address? Thank you so much for your answer!
