How do they communicate in Soccer?

Do international club soccer superstars learn -- and communicate with their teammates in -- the local language?

  • For example, A.C. Milan's three big stars--Robinho, Ibrahimovic, and Seedorf--are Brazilian, Serbo-Croatian Swedish, and Dutch. Am I wrong that a team like this would more likely communicate in English than Italian?

  • Answer:

It depends totally on the team. Usually football players get for the beginning a translator to help them and they have classes to learn the language. It depends of course on the player himself if he is going to learn the language or not. For the communication in the club the different teams have different approaches. For example clubs like Barcelona it is mandatory to speak spanish, in AC they probably will talk english with each other. It always depends what the rule of the club is. Hope could help you
