What do you know about engineering?

I am a first year Electrical Engineering student at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. I wish to pursue higher education in electrical engineering in Japan. What things should I know or take into consideration before I start realistically planning for it?

  • I know that I need to know some amount of Japanese language. But, I am completely clueless about anything apart from that. Any help regarding how to apply, selection criteria, scholarships, etc. would be appreciated. EDIT: This is the first time I am asking something on Quora so I am sorry if I haven't phrased the question properly or haven't provided enough information.

Universities in Japan are internationally renowned for research funding , citations of research publications. entrance exams are tough nut to crack. Tokyo ranks high in reputation survey. You just have to have prior course of Japanese language. otherwise not only education you'll also have problem with everyday life there.
