Bangalore to Puttaparthi?!!! Roads?!! What are they like?

To whom should I complain about broken roads in Bangalore? Instead of complaining, I want to do something about it, but where do I start?

  • I am tired of the broken roads in Bangalore. I have got several damages to my car because of such roads. But instead of complaining like a million others, I want to do something about it. People say, make a petition. But how do I "make a petition"? I want more people who support me? How? If I go to BBMP office, whom should I meet?

  • Answer:

Complaining at the right platform  in the right manner is the best way to get road issues fixed. As mentioned by in this thread, Janaagraha's website http://ichangemycity.com is the place to voice your complaints. The website is pretty cool and responsive. If you are new to that website, this is what you can do : Register and then login. Click on "Post a Complaint" Describe your complaint Upload photos of the broken road Mark the area on Google maps. And guess what, there is also an iPhone / Android app for this. You can complain in real time while your blood is still boiling. This is how the website looks. So don't forget to do your bit for your city at : http://ichangemycity.com

While I agree to the fact that people and organizations that are responsible for this are doing their job poorly. Everyday, people file petition, register complain, submit RTI forms. Sometime things gets fixed, most of the times it doesn't. I fully agree if you say it is not your job and continue with pothole filled road. But if you wanted to do something you should probably join team. You choose the spot, you fix it, you don't blame. http://ichangemycity.com It is an initiative by Janaagraha. Bangalore's first social networking site which has tied up with BBMP. The aim of this site is to provide a platform for Bangaloreans to complain about the problems they are facing. In many cases we wonder where to post about our problem and if it is going to get solved ? With ichangemycity, you can keep track of your complaint and easily get to know about the status of your complaint.

I think you should start by making a petition. Spread it, Collect signatures, get in touch who are fighting for the same cause, trust me you will find many, then complain in BBMP.  Hope for starters this may work.
