How many wiki sites are there?

Why are sites like Ask, and Wiki, and Yahoo answers always assumed "unreliable" by teachers?

  • I am just tired of hearing that there are people on those sites that give ridiculous answers on purpose and I find that a ridiculous assertion. Is it true?

It's not that all answers are really bad answers on them. They can be though. So even though it can't be used for all your information they are good for getting a general overview of something. Plus Wikipedia has a bibliography on it that may have good sites that you can use for your sources.

Because most of the answers are personal opinions from people who aren't always credible. Plus if a teacher gives an assignment you're expected to read the chapter or follow directions instead of relying on a website.

Cause some people like track69 just make up stuff! They think it's funny but it's annoying & we just flag them on here!
