how does homeschool/ online school work?

i really wish to take online school instead of going to regular school. I am in the eleventh grade and have asked my parents to please consider letting me switch to online school (with reason) and they said they're opened to discussion. however, I'm a little confused how it would work. is it true that I would just do all school work at home and online? if so that would be great. I also heard sometimes for tests and exams you'll need to go to a place where other homeschoolers go to take it, is this true? also is there a possibility that I could graduate early if I take online school instead of regular school?

I did online school for two years do to panic disorder. It helped me through tough times, though it was extremely lonely. It really depends on what online school you attend. I did all my classes online and it was mainly multiple choice. But beware, it is easy to become bored and fall into cheating. But overall, it was easy and it gave me a lot of free time.

It is a pretty good option if you want a pretty good education and are in high school but I don't really like it for elementary. I think some of the others explain the other stuff really well. Good luck

I think online is ok but not as good as an regular education with online school you don't interact with people and that is a life skill needed for a job or regular day to day life but this is just my opinion so if you want to do online school it is your and your parents choice
