Where is the best place to buy a Sugar Glider?

So, I've really been dying to have a sugar glider of my own for a long while now. I live in Daytona Beach, Florida, and would like to know the best place to buy a sugar glider. I've noted websites where they will ship the sugar glider to the nearest airport of you, but I felt that might be dangerous for the poor creature. I want to buy my sugar glider from a place where I know it has been taken well care of. So, does anyone know of a good place to get one where I live? A store? Or anything? Thanks

Sugar Gliders are considered a type of exotic pet, so I would check state laws and local bylaws before looking for one - some states require you to have a special licence before owning any animal classified as an "exotic pet". I can't personally recommend any places to buy them, but look for places that sell ones they breed themselves - sugar gliders are one of the most common illegally traded animals in the world, and by buying from a breeder, you can make sure you don't have trouble with the law later.

I you feel bad about it getting shipped in poor conditions don't but one at all, not even locally. They are exotic pets and usually poorly treated. On top of that they are hella hard to take care if and nocturnal so you do even get much interaction with them. Get a hedge hog instead!
