Why do Air Conditioners need bigger, more power full and more power consuming compressors than conventional fridge compressors..?
-
why can't we use a fridge compressor and power the AC system...? if i replace my 1 Ton AC compressor with my 200 liter fridge compressor will it produce any cooling..? or if i want any cooling what should i do..?
-
Answer:
Air conditioners are designed to cool larger spaces than refrigerators. A refrigerator is a sealed insulated box of (usually) less than 30 cu ft, requiring much less cooling power than a whole room or entire house that A/C systems are intended to cool. The small fridge compressor would be overwhelmed and burn out attempting to cool a larger space. What you should do is get another A/C compressor rated for the job.
