Why doesn't my school actually do anything to prevent bullying?

  • READ ALL PLEASE My school claims to be antil bullying. But they don't actually do anything to stop it. They gave us bracelets that say don't bully. They claim that if you show the bully the bracelet it will remind them not to bully you. That won't do anything except get you beat up, honestly. I went to the school office to report bullying because I saw someone being bullied, but apparently you have to be the one who was bullied to fill out a form. That doesn't make sense because if someone's being bullied they are to scared to say something. Also, my school says that if someone hits you and you hit them back you are just as much at fault. That makes no sense either. If someone hits me and starts a fight with me there is no way I'm going to let myself be beaten until I'm a bloody pulp, I will hit back. If someone says something rude to me I'm not going to be quiet... I'm going to give them my middle finger because they deserve it. If the school won't do anything about bullying, then to me the only way to stop a bully is to humiliate them in front of their peers. And by the way, you can't convince me not to "fight fire with fire" because I'm going hit back, and my dad told me If anyone ever hits me I should slap them to humiliate them and then walk away like a boss. Which I will. My question is, are schools really so blind that they think nicely asking for someone to stop bullying you and having a chat about your feelings will do anything?

    I think it would feel NICE if you call all your classmates and beat up the principle...and once he is yelling for stop give him a bullying form to fill out...like 'Did you feel good after the bully?' , 'Did you fight back? Which is a bad thing to do!' and 'Do they use only hands, or they kick you around like a ball?'. Just kidding. You could form a kind of self defense club among the weaker students and teach them how to fight back. The school will have NO PROOF that they fight back, because the bruises could be anything...and read up the law to defend yourself when facing teachers or filling out forms. The principle is dumb to me. If I am principle I would lead students to a military drill and see how soldiers fend themselves like a man instead of kicking the weaker peers around.

What do you suggest a school do to prevent bullying other then sending kid to office or a psychiatrist or kicking them out of school or putting them in school suspension? we can't hit them, are hands are basically tied. and the stabbings that go on you will find it very rare or a big mistake for a teacher to jump in the middle of a knife or gun fight. All most worth it to me to let you defend yourself and yes report it as a self defence thing so hopefully you won't get in as much trouble. on the other hand if the teacher does report it they say the teacher was not keeping her students busy enough which allowed time for fights and if they don't report it and something is said later then they get in trouble too. or get sued if someone gets hurt when they are trying to stop a fight so I personally surrender but what would you do?
