What to wear with bunny ears on Halloween?

Why does society have a fascination with women dressed in bunny or cat costumes?

  • Women dressing up as bunnies and cats seem to interest many men through out history. It has even become a theme in cultures across the globe. Women wear cat ears during Halloween or when trying to be appealing or bunny tails. My question is why? I decided to try on my costume I made for Halloween, I had on a pair of cat ears and just finished drawing a black circle on my nose and whiskers when my boyfriend lit up like I've never seen. It was simple face paint and ears with a dorky tail ,nothing intricate. Why do many men react this way when women dressed up as animals specifically cats and bunnies? Why not giraffes? What is the allure behind it?

    I don't agree that it is cat or bunny ears or tails or that it is something over all time. I just think you created a moment of levity and suggested a whimsical side to yourself that appeals to your boyfriend because you were in effect initiating "play".

I don't think it is so much the bunny or the cat aspect so much as how revealing the remainder of the costume is. The bunny or cat ears are just a way for men to convince women it's a costume, and not just them walking around in their undergarments, lingerie or a bikini.
