What's the highest temperature a human can survive exposure to?

Answer:
A bodies internal temp can only survive up to 108F it starts to die around 105F which is when the proteins inside the body begin to cook apart. As far as the coldest the human body can get is in the 70'sF and potentially lower depending on the time spent at the temp. The body getting cold is much safer than the body getting too warm.? The reason humans function worse and worse in the heat the more moisture there is is our body's main way of cooling off is sweating. If there is a high amount of moisture in the air our sweat can't evaporate and our bodies can't cool down.? . I believe once an external temperature above 212 degrees is reached a human will begin to die because of their internal fluids simply starting to boil, remember we are 60-90% water (depending on the organ measured). The coldest temperature your body can get before shutting down and going into hypothermic shock is 89 degrees. I believe that below 83 is unsurviveable and all organ failure, including brain.

Human flesh starts to cook at 107.5F. But as far as survival goes there is time of exposure, and transfer of heat that needs to be considered. People can walk on a path of white hot coals and walk away completely unharmed because their time of exposure is brief, and the coals transfer heat poorly. If they tried walking on a path of say heated hot plates they wouldn't do so well.

Actually humans can tolerate hot temps for a short amount of time. If it is a dry heat, you stay still and your skin sweats and it evaporates, then a human can withstand over 300 F temps for a short period of time.
It depends on what you are talking about. In fact a human can survive in an oven where a piece of meat is being baked, but not very long.
