What can I do about my tense neck?

my back hurts frequently and shoulder/neck somtimes what wrong? what can i do?

  • hi i fell some time ago flat on my back the doctor said i was lucky my back didnt break only that it will hurt for a couple of months while it heals that was about 4 years ago.anyways my back started hurting over time slowly,also my neck and shoulder though not as frequent my back which is everyday, anyways today i was sitting and my shoulder (left) started hurting alot alongside my neck wich is unusual becuase that only happends if i stand for long or sit up straight for way to long. my back hurts alot when im lying down like right now. or when im sitting down slouch straight up hunched over i have to alternate so my back doesnt hurt too much or when i stand tovlong it hurts then my shoulder and neck,usually my pain is mostly underneith my right shoulderblad but will occasionally.hurt mostly under my left shoulderblade or both, i have told my doctor but he said i would be ok. but it hurts alot. so any suggestions on what i can at home to help my back?

I have major back problems. Yours could be a pinched nerve from an injury. Take it easy for a few days. No bending, crouching, (couch potato is good) Don't twist and bend and keep testing for the pain.

I would insist on a MRI to see what is going on, I have had three back surgeries, 2 cervical ( upper spine, neck area) and one lower. Do you get headaches?any numb and tingling in your arms or hands, or both? Does it hurt to turn your head left and right?do you get shooting pains down your shoulder blades?
