How To Learn Quran?

Salam alaikum, i want to learn Arabic to be able to read the Quran. So my question is, which nation's Arabic should i learn?

  • Salam alaikum, i am a South Korean who has converted to Islam 5 months ago, i am still learning so much and know there is still so much left to learn, i just wanted to learn Arabic to be able to read the Quran. My wife is from Morocco and i understand the Arabic they use differs in parts from the one they use in Saudi Arabia to others used in Arabic nations , much like the spanish used in Spain and the spanish used in Colombia. they both use the same language but its different in some ways.So my question is, which nation's Arabic should i learn?

    First of all, welcome to Islam brother! I am a Muslim as well. You should learn the Arabic from Saudi Arabia because that's where Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), was born and raised. That is where Islam originated from and it is the most orthodox Muslim country in the world. But I think Arabic in Morocco is different from Arabic in Saudi Arabia! Good Luck.......

you shouldn't learn any accents , you should learn arabic ...you shouldn't learn slang language...if you want to read Quran not to talk to people I am Egyptian and I advice you not to learn its accent or Saudi Arabia or Lebanon I am very HAPPY that you converted Islam....if you want to know anything about Islam just ask me ... :) el salam alaikum

I don't think you should learn moroccan arabic i'm also moroccan and i can understand all arabic accent but the problem is that no arab will understand you beside moroccans so it's better for you to learn the arabic of the quran so you can understand islam even better inshaalah...and welcome to islam brother :)

Arabic is a pluricentric language, and there are quite noticeable differences between the different forms of vernaculars in different regions. The two forms if Arabic common everywhere are the Modern Standard Arabic and the Classical Arabic. The Quran in written in the latter. Modern literature is written normally in the former. If what you want is to read the Quran, you need to take Classical Arabic in a university. Trying to learn it in any vernacular would not be a good idea, no matter where you go. Having said that, the Yemen vernacular is probably the closest to Classical Arabic, but it's still different. I'm not a big expert on any of them, but I did have 3 years of classical Arabic in school. One more comment: if you learn the Classical Arabic of the Quran, you won't be able to have an everyday conversation with any native Arabic speaker.

i,m from saudi arabia and we have exactly in riyadh city university called imam mohamed ibn saud they teach the islam well and teach arabic language.
