My best friend moved how do I find new friends?

I'm a 15 year old girl. My best friend moved to Japan this summer and it's been really hard for me. There are a lot of people at my school and there are people that I'm friendly with. (its not like I need to eat lunch in the bathroom or something) Everyone has their own friend group and I never know which table to sit at in the morning or at lunch because I'm not really part of any group. I see snapchats and instagram pictures of all my "kind of" friends together and they never invite me to hang out too! (I know that it's not that they don't like me though) How can I become better friends with them and join their friend group? Or how can I find someone to be my new best friend? I'll still be best friends with the girl who moved but I need someone to rely on who lives in the same town. Please help me! Thanks so much.

Same for me, mine moved half way across the country 3 years ago and her mom wont even let her come to visit at all...She's still my best friend though. You can make new friends by just hanging out with people you have stuff in common with...something will click. ALSO: Stay in touch with your bestie...send mail/packages back and forth, text, call, email, Skype...it will get easier
