What happen after stroke?

What would happen if I put a gallon of pre-mixed chainsaw gas into a 2002 Nissan Sentra. We're talking maybe 3 ounces of 2 stroke oil in it.

  • I accidently added a gallon of regular unleaded gas mixed with maybe 3 ounces of 2 stroke chainsaw oil into my 2002 Nissan Sentra. Is there going to be any problems resulting from that?

    Just a gallon? Go fill your tank with your regular gas and it will dilute it out. Worst it could do is maybe foul your plugs with some oil, but I doubt it. Go fill er up and you'll be fine. Not enough two-stroke oil to do any damage.

It will smoke and sputter till its gone. The 2 stroke oil is there to lubricate the chainsaw motor. Dont worry, you wont ruin your motor but you will need to use an injector cleaner after to keep from fouling them.

It should run just fine. Those oils are designed to burn clean.

No big deal, run it. That's how some of us woodcutters get out of the mountains, not me though, I got plenty gas when I head to the mountains.

Not a big worry, fill the tank with gas as soon as possible. Have someone check the plugs in a week or so, to see if they got dirty

It may damage your catalytic converter, I would pump out my tank if that happened because a new converter may cost around $400.00 to replace.

I use up my old 2-stroke mix by putting in my gas tank every year. The oil is diluted by the rest of the gas and it's designed to burn. In fact, adding a little oil from time to time is actually good for your engine. You won't even know it's there.
