Can I get written up for a medical issue?

Can I take the motorcycle written test while I lost my drivers license?

  • I need to get a motorcycle license and I already took the class, which means I only need a written test. But now I lost my driver license. So I'm wondering can I still take the written test without applying for replacing a driver license? Since if I passed the written test DMV need to issue me a new driver license anyway

  • Answer:

You need a drivers license for identity purposes... you'll have to bring in all those alternate forms of ID to prove you are U anyway for replacement. Doubtful you can bypass a step, but it's worth a try.

You need to apply for a license endorsement, and to apply you need a valid license. I assume that by "lost" you mean you just physically misplaced the license itself. In that case, you should be able to apply, as long as you know what your license ID number is for the application form.

Did you lose the original copy of your regular automobile drivers license or was it suspended due to a violation? If you simply lost the license copy, get a replacement or temporary copy from the DMV.
