Im not lying when I say this but it would take 10,000 hours to become fluent in French which is a year and 1/4

There is no exact number, because it's really up to the individual. To write an essay, it would take about 3 years to really speed through it, but to actually speak it, probably about a year or two

Petbef is correct. It is up to you how much effort you are willing to put in as far as learning is concerned. The best way is to travel to the countries of your desired language, because then you would have speak it. Or perhaps there may be a friend of someone who is French who is willing to give you lessons. Take a French language class in a school or by a private Tudor. There are so many possibilities. See if there is something interesting thru the Internet that sounds legitimate. I came from Germany and learned my third language pretty quick ( English ) ,it took me, if I remember correctly about 6 month to be able to have a good conversation with about anybody. I also could read and write with no problems. Took French when I was in high school many years ago ). And if you learn your desired language and want to take that first step and have conversation with someone, please don't be embarrassed if you don't speak exactly as they expects you too. Kindly ask them: how do you pronounce it and learn from that. You can make it a FUN experience out of learning a new or even two new languages. Hope you will find the right answer and have the best opportunities to learn ALL the languages you want.
