Changing a rim lug pattern?
-
Is there a method to changing the lug pattern on a rim (not the wheel hub) from 4x114.3 to 6x5.5? Ex. filling in the holes... then re-drilling the new pattern???? (if your curious about a specific rims... lets say Rotas) I want logical explanations how or why... (main a question for your machinist or welders...) Think outside the box.. haha

Answer:
You are correct that you will most likely need both a welder and machinist to be involved in the modification. Of course 114.3 is mm and is equivalent to 4.50 inches. Generally there is no reason it can't be done.
