What's a good job for somebody with no experience?

How fast can somebody with no experience can get a job as a truck driver?

• So, I'm planning on getting a licence so I can be a truck driver for one of those 18 wheeler s, or a licence so I can be a bus driver one for those yellow buses. So, my first question is, will somebody hire me fast if I don't have any experience driving those vehicles? I'm 27 years of age who has little experience driving a regular car. I do live in NYC so getting around the city doesn't really need a car

  Well first you have to learn to drive a semi truck. They have schools for driving truck and or bus but they are about 6-9 months long. Before I was a cop I owned a trucking company specializing in moving oversize heavy equipment. I tested a lot of so called truck drivers, most could drive the truck down the road with little problem, but getting them to back it into a dock or space was an adventure. When I started out I hauled a mixed freight enclosed trailer. I got every job I applied for because I could back a semi into a dock in high reverse, have it stopped square to the dock and without hitting the dock hard. Driving a truck or bus isn't something you can just jump in and do. Especially now days with all of the new laws and electronics. It is a hard job, and has a great deal of wear and tear on your body, days, weeks, or months away from home. But, like everything else in life, if you work hard enough and long enough you can accomplish your goal!
