What happens when you have a hernia?

What happens if surgery didn't fix my hernia problem completely? Did it or am I being paranoid? I now there is a noticeable size contrast!

• I am 18, I had hernia and hydrocele surgery on my right side on the 12 of February. I prior to this had a hernia that was quite large on my right testicle, I assume that my intestines, fat and fluids would extend to that part of my body. I got surgery yesterday but now I am quite concerned, because when I had the hernia I was able to push the fat, water and intestines back in, either by a gentle squeeze, sitting/laying down, or crossing my legs, I was able to push all of it back in. Now that I have had surgery and partially recovered from the mild drugs I had to take, I have inspected my testicles and found that the sac still seems to be have a noticeable amount of water and fat still. Should I be concerned? Will it affect anything? It hurts now but I assume that it is because of the surgery, I haven't notice it getting larger instead it the same size as when I first seen it. My right side is quite larger than my left side still, but its hardly a difference compared to the peak size of the hernia that I had, it would swell up to be about 2-3 of my fist sizes, whereas the other was completely normal, I however am still concerned. Will this affect or damage anything?
