BEAUTY: If I want my make up to have a dewy finish, should I dust translucent loose powder over my foundation to make it last longer?

I want a dewy finish to my overall make up. I know that if you lightly dust translucent loose powder over top of your foundation, it can make you foundation last longer. I also have a finishing spray that will help give me a dewy look. I want to know that if I add powder, will it make my make up not have a dewy finish I was hoping for? Or will it work okay?

Hi, wisegirl. If you put any powder over the top of it, honey, even a small amount, that will take away the dewy finish and make it more of a matte finish.

If you are wanting your makeup to last longer throughout the day I would use a reliable primer. Using a little powder may help, but if going for a dewy look I would try and avoid it.
