What are the requirements for IB?

What is the requirements for IB(international baccalaureate)

  • I am already a high school student in pre-ib, tenth grade. ON my last report card I got straight B's(don't judge, please). I am kind of nervous about whether or not I can get into IB with these grades. Even though this is only the first marking period out of four.

  • Answer:

You study 3 subjects at a "higher" level - more deep/extensive study - and 3 at a "standard" level. The subjects are these: 1. Your first language (e.g. English) 2. A second language (e.g. French, German, Spanish) 3. A lab science (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics) 4. A humanities/social sciences subject (e.g. Economics, History, Philosophy) 5. A mathematics/technology subject (e.g. Mathematics, Computer Science) 6. An arts subject (e.g. Art, Music) OR another subject from groups 3-5 You also have to: * Study "Theory of Knowledge" * Complete an independent research project - with an extended essay * Complete sufficient hours of "CAS" in your spare time (Creativity, Action, Service - extra curricular activities and volunteering)
