Why do I keep getting pains in my lower abdomen?

Why do I keep getting random sharp pains in my lower right abdomen?

  • It's not that severe at the moment. But sometimes it gets so bad that I can't even walk. But the pain will only last a few minutes and then won't come back for a few days. Maybe even weeks. What is the cause for this? Note: I don't think it's appendicitis because the pain doesn't last long.

    The lower part of your colon the ilium is located on the lower right side. I have sharp pains there as well that come and go the doctor says it's mild colitis... Nothing serious. The doctor says as long as it comes and goes in such short spurts that it's not serious? If it were to last for sometime then you need to get into the doctor right away!

Any pain or illness that lasts this long warrants a trip to your doctor. It could be so many different things in that area. Good luck!! If you develop a fever, vomiting and pain worsens, please go to the ER, as that is a sure sign of appendicitis.
