Is New York City a nice place to live for an 18 year old?

  • Are there good job opportunities (that pay good), I know public transportation is great there. Are there good opportunities to find a romantic partner? Is it way too crowded to live in? I'd love to be able to live without a car! But I also here the living cost is alot, but that there are good paying jobs too.

I was born in NYC. It's a great place to live & work. You may have to live with roommates because it is expensive, but you can live in the other boroughs such as Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx or Staten Island. It is a very exciting place with many things to do & learn. I love it here!

No it's not a good place at any age in my opinion it's just too darn expensive to live there. I have actually lived there just saying.

It can be, its one of the best cities in the world. There are many great opportunities and things to see. It just is very expensive to be able to enjoy the things that are available. Would need a decent job, and maybe a room-mate.
