What does it take to become a homicide detective?

What are some good classes to take in high school when you want to become a homicide detective?

  • I'm a fifteen year old girl. I just want to know what classes would help me become a homicide detective. So far I haven't been very successful.

  • Answer:

Work on improving basic skills that will be beneficial to jobs in that specific area. Classes that encourage critical thinking and application will be useful to prepare you for learning that will come later on in your career. Introductions to economics, law, and political science are all good choices because they make you more aware of the world. Current events, government, and classes on politics are also good options.

Any kind of forensics you can get your hands on. Try speaking to a school counselor. They can plug you into the best courses your school has to offer for your career. Good luck!
