When can I get my drivers licence?

Can I get still get my drivers licence before age 18 despite Arrest for consumption of alcohol? (read more please)

Ok, so at age 15 I was arrested at a party for underage drinking. This was before I had received a permit or started drivers Ed classes. I'm on court supervision for 6 months and all fines had been payed. My court supervision date ends on June 5th and assuming I pass all my driving tests I should receive my licence around early September. My father told me I legally can get my licence till age 18, however I have friends who had underage Alcohol charges and were simply suspended for 3 months, If someone can help answer this as detailed as possible it would be much appreciated. I live in Illinois encase thats relevant in anyway. Thanks.
