How should I use the wedding invitation cards?

My mom makes gift tags out of cards of all types. She uses scissors with a scalloped or other "fancy" edge and cuts a rectangle out of heavy (linen type) craft paper. She then folds the rectangle in half (so it is now a square w/ a fold). She cuts a square from the card and glues it onto the craft paper. Then she punches a small hole in the corner & puts ribbon through it to attach the tag to a gift. She makes them from Christmas Cards, Birthday Cards, etc. She also makes little bird houses (purely decorative, of course) and little churches out of old cards. Sorry, it is too complex to explain well here, but they are really cute!! I'm sure you could figure it out though if you're good at crafts. There is a roof (one piece - folded in the middle), four walls (also one piece, folded to make the corners) and a base. She cuts the edges out with the scalloped scissors. They are really cute!! Would be something cute to give someone after their wedding, if you made it out of their invitation!! She has also taken pictures and invitations, put them in a frame, and made a decorative border with material or on the computer. when my husband's parents had an anniversary party recently, she made framed their wedding picture, a more recent picture of them, and the invitation to their anniversary party and made a decorative border with material. it was really nice. they appreciated it very much. you could do that with a wedding invitation and a photo from the wedding.
