Any tips for someone going on a carnival cruise soon?

I'm going on a Carnival Cruise in July. I've never been on a cruise before. Any tips?

  • Carnival Glory cruise. Leaves July 5th. Going to Belize, Cozumel, Cayman Islands, and Honduras. I'm kinda scared to go, but it should be fun. I also like to get a pedicure. Should I get it before the cruise or on the cruise? Which is cheaper? Oh and I am probably going to get a bob. Should I get it before or after the cruise?

    Get the pedicure before you go. Everything is expensive on the ship. Take one bathing suit. You will want to buy towels, cover ups, hats, flip flops as trophies/souvenirs to bring back. Take at least one nice dress that can be dolled up with pretty jewelry. ( leave expensive jewelry and watches at home ). Don't take anything with you that you would regret loosing that includes MP3 players, computers, kindles and phones. Enjoy!

Cheaper to do those things before you get on the ship . Something kinda of cool , fun and free is to attend the towel folding class , to make different animal like the ones you will get in your cabin everyday !! Have a Blast !!!

Sunscreen. Lots of sunscreen. Also, there's probably gonna be tons of food. So bring an empty stomach.

My wife and I went on 2 cruises with Carnival. We LOVED it so much that we are looking forward to taking another one in the near future.You will need to present your passport before boarding the ship,but you won't need to bring it with when you do the on shore excursions. Leave it in the safe in your stateroom,so that you don't lose it.When you pack your bags,be sure to keep your passport and other forms of ID readily accessible. Have fun.

Be careful and wary as you enjoy yourself. There are no laws on the high seas. Drink only bottled water, nothing from the tap. Even to brush your teeth. Keep an eye on staff in all situations. And lock the door behind you. Stay with a group at all times.
