What does 'everything happens for a reason' mean?

Do you believe that everything happens for a reason?

  • I know it's a kinda stupid question to ask but here's my explanation for it. I moved almost two months ago, to a different state. I was of course sad but I thought well maybe it'll be for the better, maybe I'll have a better life here. Ya know, everything happens for a reason right. But I don't like my school and everything is just really depressing right now, and I miss my old life. I hoped tht things would turn out good but nothing's good right now. I barely have any friends in my new school, I feel like a loser and everything's going downhill. Will things ever get better ? I feel so lost. I thought things would be better but it's just terrible. Do you believe everything happens for a reason? If everything happens for a reason, when will I find out that reason, because things are so bad right now. What do you think of my situation, any advice? Thank you

  • Answer:

There is no rhyme or reason in the chaotic existence we live in. We can only hope for the best, and hope that nothing gets the best of us.

I dont think.everything happens for a reason. Although, I am sure there is a reason you had to move, but what you are going through is common after someone moves. It takes time, sometimes a lot of time to settle in. As far as things happening for a reason...here is.my thought on that. I am an RN. I have been around a lot of patients at the end of their lives, including children. Many of the family members will drive themselves crazy trying to find a reason why their loved one died. Why did God take them? Why did they get cancer? What was the reason for this to happen? Sometimes things just happen because they do.

I believe everything is perceived reasonable AFTER it has happened and events are reviewed.

There is no reason for everything. Man needs a reason but it isn't there. Your life will get better because is is ever changing. Be patient. Good times are ahead for you. Life is an up and down trip.

No, everything doesn't happen for a reason. Things happen because of your choices, and you need to look at the bright side of things. If you don't chin up things won't get better, but you have the power to change that. Sitting around hoping that your problems will go away wont help, you have to do something about it.

The feeling of being lost in another state, from family and friends that you were close to happens everyday for others. Your not the only one ,but you have to take time to adjust to new surrounding and meeting and making new friends. I had it happen to me when I was growing up leaving all my friends and going yo a different. school I felt lost and hated it.Only felt sorry for myself, not realizing my family had to deal with the move also I didn't. think how they felt to the changes. It took time for me to make friends cause I was very shy meeting others and being accepted by others. But after some time it worked out and I met new friends and it became part of the past afterwards. Don't expect for changes right away, it will fall into place.

No, there doesn't have to be a reason for everything.

everything has a cause and an effect, but that doesn't mean the cause was a deity.
