Camera lens fogged up... from inside?

Is there a way to prevent my camera lens getting fogged up?

  • The situation is so bad that wiping with soft cloth would make it worse. It is and hot and humid outside. As soon as I get out of the car, lens get fogged up. So is the back lcd screen.

  • Answer:

Try cleaning the lens with lens cleaner outside, that may give the lens a chance to come up to air temperature without fogging up. Maybe also put the camera in the airing cupboard (where the hot water cylinder is.. if you have one). There may be mild dampness within the camera body. This will help dry out the interior of the camera. Just suggestions but I don't actually know..

Before you take the camera out into the world you could try warming it up to the same temperature as outside, very carefully though

This is my guess. Try finding the clearest tape you can. And put it over the lens. Shouldnt be a problem if its for a phone :P
