Who makes the best geothermal furnace and why?

Why does the blower on my furnace work better on heat than on A/C? Makes no sense to me since it is the same unit.

  • I asked the service guy a couple of years ago and he didn't have a good answer for me. Particularly one room has high output for heat and low for A/C. Last year I bought a window unit in order to keep the house at a reasonable level because we lost all the shade trees to insect damage and it made the A/C work too hard. I live in a double wide mobile home with good insulation. Replaced walls with drywall, insulation and new siding with 1/2 foam and tyvek wrap. A/C is 8 years old and has been serviced.

  • Answer:

It's because cold air is harder move heat rises cold air goes down If you have a basement close all air outlets except the two farthest away from furnace Close all doors in rooms that have cold air returns also you could dampen down outlets on first floor to get air to the rooms you want the most flow make sure you buy good furnace filters Also check A coil in furnace to be sure it's clean (007)

your blower has a two speed fan. They're usually wired that way. It can be rewired to blow the same
