How tricky would it be to do a home repair to replace the power button on a Samsung LCD monitor?
-
I think the power button on my Samsung LCD monitor has finally packed it in. It's one of those multi-function switches with mini joystick-like action.I should have left the monitor in the ON state, and yanked the power cable instead - to turn it on and off, when I knew the switch was starting to go, a few months ago. I know that used to work.It could also be that the AC/DC power adapter has suddenly gone wonky, so I'll check that too.

Answer:
Most of the time, this would be a custom switch and there's not much hope of finding an off-the-shelf replacement. if it's just an on/off function, you could certainly rig up an in-line switch or something, but it'd be a kludge...
