Where can I find a timeline for the oregon trail?

Can anyone help me with a timeline for my Oregon trail assignment?

• We are supposed to be writing a journal as if we have been on the Oregon trail ourselves (we as in my fellow classmates). i know how many days it took to get from each land mark to another, but i just don't know how i'm supposed to write it! We need 15 entries and in all we are supposed to have 1000 words or more. one of the requirements is to write how far we traveled that one day and we have to (once we get to a certain landmark) write when we get to a landmark. http://s3.amazonaws.com/scschoolfiles/240/oregon_trail_diary_packet.pdf that is the assignment. i just need help with a time line! like please tell me something like from independence to Kansas river it took 12 or so days and like 100 miles (obviously i just thought of that as an example) please help!!

  Well I can't see your packet. But I would say something like my Pa had us walking all day today. My feet are black with dirt. The creek we stopped for the night at was so cold it made me shiver to the bone. Ma said she figured we made 10 miles today. Maybe 15. The horse was so tuckered it broke my heart.
