What would be the dependent, and what the independent variables in this situation?
-
I have to write a hypothetical experiment for psychology. I'll be researching the effects of punishing and rewarding on learning. I'll have two groups, each with ten dogs. One group will receive a treat for good behavior and nothing for bad, whilst the other will receive a punishment for bad behavior and nothing for good. I'm stuck at the part where I have to write the variables. What would be the dependent, and what the independent variables in this situation?

Answer:
The rewards and punishments are the independent variables. The dependent variables are the reactions you get from the dogs.
