How do I become a professional trance music producer?

Ok I understand some artists got skills in the industry and I am merely a beginner, but are there any formal places like say a college where you can learn to produce electronic music or online courses?

This is something you probably don't want to ask on this site, but I can give you my best advice. Most of the trance artists I enjoy like Jay Lumen start off with a small team and a big dream :) Equipment is going to be VERY expensive, as a reliable set like the Pioneer or something like that will many thousands of dollars. I suggest you find an investor or set aside at least 10 grand to help with equipment, and then buy a reliable laptop with some basic music making programs. Make a demo, with something really catchy, and then try to get an audience with a record dealer or a music company. Also, if you can get this far, you might want to ask help from a professional. Go to a minor, local trance artist, or try for someone big and ask them small things. Try to go to concerts to figure out what most trance followers enjoy, and then start from there. I don't exactly know of any schools where they instruct on EDM, as most people think it's just screeching and hitting a button on a laptop. Great EDM music producers start off small, and have a lot of struggles on their way to the top. I hope this helped.
