Why doesn't my straight talk phone work?

If i put a straight talk sim card in will my phone work like a straight talk phone?

  • I have an iPhone 4s without a sim card and was wondering if I put one of the Straight Talk sim cards in it, will it work like a Straight Talk phone? My other phone was recently stolen while I was at school & I hadn't re-downloaded "Find My iPhone" after updating my phone to the IOS 8.3. So, I'm left with this older iPhone that's missing a sim card. Any information will help greatly!

    I had an Iphone that had verizon on it, but if it's a sim card on the side of the phone as long as it's a trac fone I think it should work just fine. like I said I had an iPhone originally bought from verizon. No longer any service I slipped a straight talk sim in there and it worked for me just fine so. Like I said as long as it's a sim on the side of the phone, if you had to take the phone apart then no it wont work.

If your iPhone 4S is unlocked, then the Straight Talk SIM card should be able to function. You might also need to notify Straight Talk about the switch to the 4S, though.

Your 4s has to be unlocked and support 850 and 1900 MHz frequencies.
