I just bought GTA IV for pc and i tried to install it and it said 'incompatible'. I have windows 8. Does anyone know how to make it work?

I really hope there is a way to get it to work on windows 8 because otherwise this was a waste of my $$$. Please tell me if you know anyway to get it to run on windows 8.
