Yeah, shelby2056 is right -- find the source and get rid of it! In the meantime, you can purchase air filtration systems. Machines that filter the air for you. I know several people with mite/dust/etc allergies and they have specific air filter brands that they like to use. If you live in a cold climate and have hot air blown in though the furnace, get a good-quality air filter -- you can get ones that are supposedly good for people who are sensitive to air particulates. Obviously it's summer and unless you live in the arctic that's not a current practical suggestion, but keep it in mind... :)

You will never get it all but; Have your heat duct work professionally cleaned. Vacuum your house with a powerful shop vac. Especially the edges and under furniture and beds. Wash window curtains. Wipe down the tops of doors. Wipe behind mirrors and pictures on the wall. We redid one room and it was refreshing to walk into. It lasted about a month.

You can get an electrostatic air filtration system that attaches to your furnace and replaces the wimpy cardboard filters.

Try a non fabric filter. There are various types on the market. Swamp coolers are notorious for such issues.

Does the dust swirl around constantly or just when you move stuff around? I find that when you use water, a damp sponge, wet Swiffer, whatever, wet tamps down dry. I hate it so I use a Dustbuster, Hoover Floormate, wet Swiffer, damp sponges & when all else fails, I hose it down. Dust & whatnot is a stagnant reality but you can combat it with know-how if you know how.
